Ruth Grümmer

Prof. Dr. rer. nat.

  • The projects of Ruth Grümmer focus on the molecular mechanisms in female reproduction and their dysfunction. These include:
  • cellular and molecular mechanisms of the pathogenesis and development of novel therapeutical approaches for the treatment of endometriosis
  • regulation of the feto-maternal interaction during embryo implantation
  • signalling and epithel-stromal interaction in the induction and regulation of decidualization
  • role of cell contact proteins for decidualization, implantation and placental development
  • 2D and 3D endometrial cell culture systems / mouse models
